The Cold Facts

Some systems can only work with Ultra Low Sulfur Fuel, causing concern in freezing temperature and higher fuel costs. In very cold weather trucks and buses are out of commission.

  • In-Line Filter requires ultra low sulfur fuel (ULSF)
  • Cleaner burning fuel such as bio diesel and ultra low sulfur fuel costs far more than No. 1 or No. 2 Diesel Fuel, are corrosive, and foul injectors
  • ULSF is not available everywhere
  • Anti-Idle Rules are ignored in inclement weather
  • Ensuring consistent protection with the Phantom Switch
  • Anti-idle Rules must be ignored when power take offs are for wheel chair lifts, bucket loaders, or pumps
  • Ultra Low Sulfur Fuel and Bio diesel gels in cold weather
  • Stalling engines under freezing conditions and halting operation
